8 Days and counting...

Yes 8 days and I am home. It is taking 2days to reach Oz and once I am in perth I will be itiching (more than I am now from some univeted 'thing' in my blood!!) to be in Newy. I think I might pee myself with joy!!
Andy any chance your freind in Singapor is in Singapor and wants to entertain me (camera shop and I'll shout him lunch!!) on the 15th I arrive about 7am and fly out 15:00. No worries if not.
So family see you soon (but not soon enough)
Aunty Calli dont have all the fun with C and K leave some for me!! XXXXXXXXXXX

Squished, stretched and bulged

This is the fun of having a Mac, it's all about Photobooth.  The Pobjie's have just headed out for fish and chips and I'm having a relax at home.  Before they went we got up to some clicking mischief...

Monday Morning

An early morning phone call woke the Pobjie house this morning so I took up my aunty duties with joy and headed down to the water with Connor and Kenzi.  I've borrowed Mum's camera but I forgot to take it, and I may have forgotten to take photos because we were so busy not stepping on the cracks, finding crabs, playing catch, swimming and just generally spending the first day of school holidays being kids.  This is the life.

Double Trouble 18th

It feels like light years have passed since I've put a post up.  I guess I've done a lot in a little while and it seems like a long time.  I've travelled across the globe, surprised everyone by coming back to Oz early, house-hunted rigorously, hung out (lots), mowed, weeded, dug, shopped, cooked, vacuumed, swept, sewed and washed up.  Andrew has been in Geelong for a week working and I've been up at the farm with the parentals.  I'm staying at Trin's for the next few days, just spreading the love about.  I've done lots of blog worthy stuff but the lack of internet access and no camera has put me off.  Last night Mum and I snapped a few pics on her camera and I'm nabbing the Pobjie's internet to post a little bit of Dani and Kayla's 18th.  We had to dress as famous pairs, and this is what we came up with.
My last minute costume scheming ended up as a partridge in a pear tree.  I figured I was hitting the mark twice, the partridge and the pear tree are a famous pair from the 12 days of Christmas and the pear tree is pretty famous.  I smelt of dead ants though, I cut down the wrong branch off the gum tree and got swarmed with ants.

Mum and Dad came as Bill and Ben the Flower Pot Men.  Dad was a little dubious due to their questionable sexual persuasions.
Gwenny came as a pair of pears.  She had to adjust her low-hanging costume after someone suggested that the pears might be mistaken for a pair of something else.
And the Pobjies, the best dressed family of the night.  We had the princess and the pea and Mr Bump and Mr Strong.  Awesome, awesome, awesome.  Well done Trinny!
It was such a great night.  The best party I've been to since I was last in Oz.  Family, friends, food, costumes and a whole lotta laughs - the best kind of parties.  Happy 18th Spani and Kayla-Shayla!

Jealous!

I am jealous of all your post but keep puting them.
Christmas is very low key in India the only reason I know it is coming
up is because I had to make up some skits/ songs (with the help of awesome
foursome!).

Longing for home, Christmas, party, and pool volleyball!! xxxxxxxxx

I love Summer

On Saturday morning we went to the beach before breakfast.
It was overcast and I got rained upon at times - but then the sun burst through and it was beautiful.
We ran, danced, dug, walked, threw, swam and generally had a very cool morning together.
Summer is spectacular and I love it - beach before breakfast Triniti says Yes!

Movember

A few of the final pics.

Auntie Lolly

Hmmm, my baby sister turns up and my kids get high on lollies...all for a good cause. The gingerbread house.

Eeek!

I have to tackle all of this before I leave and somehow get a bag packed that seems to be full before I've put any of my stuff in there.  Hmph.  Looks like I should get off the computer and get to it.

Last Minute

Here's a gork at a few last minute gifts that I've been working on for people in Amsterdam.
These are a bunch of rocky road packs that I made with a lot of the wrong ingredients for our small group.
A pimped bib and dummy strap for Nafta (the bone wasn't part of my original idea but the glue leaked through and marked the strap so I had to come up with something and Dad always says to make a feature of any mistakes!).
And lastly, a chocolate cobbler pack as part of Ben and Rebecca's present.  I'm not sure I want to give this one away though, it sounds so gooily delicious.  I made my own packaging and changed the recipe a little from Lollychops.

The Thankful Game

It's thanksgiving in America today so I thought it would be cool to join in the fun of gratitude.  Here's a little list of the things I'm thankful for:
  • My spunk of a husband
  • My incredibly beautiful sisters
  • My amazing parents
  • My crazy and fun extended family
  • Seriously great friends
  • A warm bed in this chilly weather
  • A fridge of food to get through before we leave for Oz
  • Leaving for Oz
  • The promise of sunshine
  • Airplane food (strangely enticing)
  • Sinter Klaas chocolate letters
  • Banoffee pie made by number one on my list (he's hot AND he can cook)
  • Extra luggage allowance so we're hopefully not overweight to fly to Oz
  • Seeing friends and family after 20 months
  • That it snowed in Amsterdam so I get winter and summer in the same few days
  • The time and ability to create
  • And so, so, so many other things but I'm needing to be off doing stuff (and I'm also thankful for the ability to do stuff-any stuff)
