This is what happens when exam centres are located near Aldi. Chocolate mousse and garlic bread for lunch. And in that order. Luckily I only have 2 more exams to go otherwise my health may suffer. But I do cycle to and from the exams, I'm pretty sure two negatives plus two positives leaves me just the way I am!

The Slippery Slope

Packages
Thank you's are nicer when they are nicely written cards or a special treat....but I just wanted to make sure that the people who spoil us know that they are loved and appreciated now as well as later when I get my act together.
Thank you for the fabulous gifts flown in from Amsterdam and hand delivered, although bummed we didn't get to see the deliverer in person! They were amazing and a BIG blessing.....I am going to use mine and then wrap them up for Christmas because it will be exciting to use them again. All the gifts were loved by all. You guys sure know how to spoil a person.
Thank you for the amazing package from New Zealand. Connor especially loved the barbie card, just secretly though! My favourite photo is hanging on my wall...you know the face one! And my bath is covered with bath paint because both my sisters that are not in Australia, sent my creative bath girl some very colourful bath paints and they have been well used in many a long bath.
I have no photo's and I am tired and I have no more to add. So, goodnight, happy cowboying, happy assignmenting, happy childrening or whatever else you are doing...happy fridaynighting to you. And thanks for the SPOILING.

Dip Netting
Dear Mackenzi
Just in case you are not fluent in Kenzi, here is what it says:
Dear Mackenzi,
You are lucky to be loosing a tooth.
Love The Tooth Fairy
Magic and Imagination and Dreams all happen here, inside this house, inside her room, inside her head and she is about to loose another tooth, hence feeling the need to play tooth fairy and tell herself how very lucky she is!

Today's Study Break Brought To You By...
My new haircut! Minette had a bunch of girls around for lunch, and one of them was pretty nifty with a pair of scissors. Most of the girls got trims(and looked seriously fab afterwards), I went for the usual 'do whatever you want'. She made my hair look great. Now I have to figure out how to get the same effect from rolling out of bed and getting on with the day. Do they make styling pillows that fit around your head while you sleep and you get up ready to go with the best bed head ever? I'm going to have to investigate.

Never a Dull Moment
Last night I got a call from a friend. He asked me where I was. I said I was at home. He asked why. I thought that was a strange question, until he reminded me that I was meant to be at a dinner at church. I had completely and utterly flaked. The dinner had already started, and I had already eaten dinner (of sorts-popcorn, rice and broccoli counts right?). He persuaded me to come and I jumped on a bus and trekked down to Amstelveen. And it was so worth it. It was an Asian tour of culinary delights. I only had little portions though as my Hobbit-like second-meal capacities are not quite as large as I would like.
I did, however, learn a valuable lesson. Even if your Macdonaldness means you are dying over the fact that you have completely forgotten something and you're going to be an hour late, go anyway. Maybe you'll meet some great people, eat some great food, and have a great laugh over your ridiculous flakiness. Yup, I got a happy ending after all!
Not Being Whisked Away

Andrew is somewhere in the skies on his way to Australia right now. And I'm in Amsterdam, not whisking, not being whisked, just studying, and eating more popcorn (I think I have a problem). I am, however, being kept company by these beautiful tulips. Andrew couldn't take me to sunshine (thankyou exams) so he brought a little sunshine to me. Hope they brighten your day as much as they're sparkling in mine.

Whisked Away
I am being whisked away by the man I love, by the man that is my match, by the man that 10 years ago today cried and said I do....forever.
