Creative!

This is why my house is nearly always not tidy....that and the fact that I would rather sew or create as well!
A tent for clone troopers, apparently it's a Star Wars thing!
A Rapenzel tower....ain't no prince climbing this one without hair assistance.
top view of tower, because she did such a fab job.
Stable for all the my little ponies that have been adopted in this house.
A base for the lego star ships that have been made. My boy likes a bit of star wars!

Room with a view.....

So.....I don't have any photos of house renovations to show! But I thought I would just join in with some photos of things that are changing in our house...though not gyprocking or new windows...just new views out our front window! We have gone from no snow...and very depressed ski bunnies around town with nothing to do... to overnight.....THIS!

Lots and lots of beautiful white snow!

So enjoy my view...not anything to do with hard work on my part! But just as nice a view as new gyprock and rendering and windows right?!?!?

Love you all xo

The Studio

I was going to try and give Dad a guided Skype tour of the studio but I couldn't figure out how to carry Langlan as well as the laptop so Dad, being the clever man he is, suggested I put photos up on the blog.  Here they are.

The gyprocking is finished and it looks awesome.

The rendering is almost finished and it too looks awesome.

Windows have been replaced, cracks have been filled, lights and power have been fitted, some painting has been painted.

There's still a bit to go but it's almost done and it's such a transformation.

I wish I could put the before photos up but they're still with Trin, I'll get around to nabbing them one day!

Death and Dying

Warning: some viewers may find photos of dead chooks distressing.  Do not scroll any further down the screen.  Do not pass Go.  Do not collect $100.
Pretty picture for those who don't want to see the dead chook

Our chooks are (were) fickle creatures.  Whenever we had visitors they would go on strike from laying.  We would be getting an egg a day but as soon as the visitors came they clamped up their egg laying hole and wouldn't let a thing pass until the visitors had gone.

The last lot of visitors must have been the final straw.  We didn't see an egg for 3 months.  And then Penelope popped out two, and then keeled over and died.

She's been double-bagged and put into the garbage bin (no hanging on the rear-view mirror Linny and Kati).  We think it was old age, and the excitement of getting out two eggs was just too much after a three month holiday!

Keith is still hanging in there.  I think she's enjoying ruling the roost now that the bully Penelope has bitten the dust!

I've Got My New Shoes On

Ok Trinny (and anyone else who wants to join in) Project Get Fit starts this week!  I've downloaded Podrunner First Day to 5K and I've got some running shoes.  Now just to get out the front door!

I'm running Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week.  Friday is reserved for the 10k walk that I do with Amanda along the waterfront.  This may all sound a little overly ambitious but I can only try, right?!  Let's go!

Happy Birthday to...
the lovely, wonderful, fantastic and amazing Rohan!

We hope you have a lovely day and that your beautiful family spoil you rotten, you totally deserve it.

Lots of birthday love from the 3 of us down here,
Langlan, Calli and Andrew (played by the Red Balloon)

is it an addiction when.......

#you wake naturally at 2:47am to go curd side collecting
#you bound out of bed (but for work you drag yourself out)
#you break out in a light sweat of excitement from a rush of adrenaline
#you go to pick up 2 specific things & some how???!! you car comes back FULL
#you covert your freebies more then payed for objects
#you considering driving back in the read day time "incase I missed something good"

!I HAVE AN ADDICTION!

But I must say the world (sydney) is a quite, mysterious and pretty place when u have it mostly to yourself at 2:47am. Pick ups are also funnier at this time cause u can only 1/2 see what your grabbing. Some might be duds but I am sure I have some rubies too. I got a old leather Dr bag FULL of magazines (top 2 discarded as it had been raining) fingers crossed there is not "inappropriate" suprises if ya know what I mean ;-)

Now 04:32 and my couch surfing registartion has gone through so I am off to bed.... Again!
Nite xx

Stamped, Self-Addressed Envelope

Yesterday I carried this envelope around in my pocket all day long.  It's not really the envelope that excites me though, it's the contents.  I've been accepted as a stall holder for the Steampacket Gardens Art and Crafts Market in November and December, whooooooop!

Lovely Sisters,

I love reading about your lives on the blog.

I love seeing the randomness of the images of your lives on the blog.

I love reading the comments that you put on the posts.

I love you.

Lots.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Calli Strawberry Jam

The Imagination of Blankets and Clothes Dryers

Langlan has come down with a pretty fierce cold, along with the occasional vomit, so we're not heading to playgroup today and we're not heading down to play at the beach with mother's group.

Instead, we're staying home and playing Cowboys and Indians with our wigwam, or if we get bored of that we'll play Armies with our fort, or if we get bored of that we'll have a Mad Hatters Tea Party in our cubby house.

Any which way, it looks like we're in for a fun day!
