Road Salami

.......
Ha ha ha
Sometime (in particular now) you need to laugh
Laugh at life's odd-ities
Silly strange things you see abd hear,
that to the untrained eye seem dull, normal, or simply go unnoticed
Today's special Oddity:
3 BIG rolls of Salami in the middle of a 8 lane high way!!!!
I laughed, i mused 'How did they get there'
And the Mac- scab side of me thought
'If i could get them, would they be edible- it's long life salami after all!!'
Love you all- thanks for the support xxx
(I wish I could harnass the support and give myself a higher clevage!)

Make this bread

It's DEEEEE-licious. And easy-peasy. Just remember the day before, 5 minutes of putting together, wait til the next day, bake and you're done. I also make raisin bread from the same recipe. I leave out the salt and add 1 tablespoon of raw sugar (instead of the other sugar), 2 tablespoons of cinnamon and a whole load of sultanas. Yum. The recipe is from here. And the pizza base rocks as well.

A Story for the Lovelocks

This is a picture of Langlan, Auntie Ferry, Grandpa Mac and Mumma/Vonny. We're in an airplane flying to New Zealand. Grandpa is looking worried because Langlan is flying the plane. Everyone else is looking happy and excited because they're going to see Emi, Madi and Harri. Yay, we can't wait for August!

What came first, the child or the egg?

Our chooks (sadly Millie is no longer with us) started laying again after a two week holiday. I found an egg this morning, popped it on the grass (nowhere near where Langlan was) and ran inside to get a cup to water my coriander. And this is what happened while I was gone. Little mobile boy + freshly laid egg in the grass = no omelets for dinner.

hello sisters!!!

I love all your posts.
I read all your posts.
I miss you all so much.
I wish I was better at time manangement to put a proper post on- I don't even have kids so what is my excuse????!!!!
Renovating is starting to be just that rather then demolishing so that is exciting.
Though I am unsure how much Dad likes my "lay em as they fall" kitchen flooring approach-
Just how much is to much pva and saw dust between bendy floor boards?!
I've slept my second nite there this time with 1/2 decent bed which still didn't make a change to my lack of sleep.
Working lots to make up for the days I spend with Frida which is slighlty unpleasant!
Got asked to at a servo how much I wanted to sell my car for.... I turned around and said.... "MY car......" Guy never replied when I told him $4,000 (fathers idea!!!)
Yacob....... Maybe I don't want to be strong enough despite loving him.......
Back to Sydney in 6 weeks for 3 weeks and find out in 2 weeks where I get. Hopefully Antartica or Chile they are both in NSW aren't they???!!!

I miss you all incrediously. Loved our clothes swap Trinny where she got a jacket I'm jealous of and I got a bog (or rather bAg) that she adored!!!! See you soon Cal. And stay safe Linny.

A is for Ages

Yup, it's been ages since I've posted. It's so nice to see Trinny keeping up the blog though!

I've found a teensy bit of time to pop on here. Langlan is moaning in his room, the Dutchies are wandering around Melbourne, there's banana cake in the oven and a pile of dishes to be done.

Some things are taken care of, others definitely aren't. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

I thought I'd put a picture of my stellar mothering on here for a laugh. Langlan had been playing in his bedroom and I walked in to find this:Langlan's Feet 5 months and 10 days old
Which from the side looks like this.Langlan, 5 months 10 days old
This kid is an explorer. He goes where no baby has gone before. As they say, I think we've got a live one!

Breakfast at the Beach

photo courtesy of this lovely person
(There were some great photo's taken of this event...however they were on Kenzi's camera and she needed some more space the other day and GOT RID OF ALL HER PHOTO'S.....she thought they would stay on her memory stick if she was deleting them off her camera!)

There are those days that I have no idea what I am doing as a parent. You know the ones when your child stands in front of you and says to your face that she did not squirt the toothpaste all over the toilet seat, how do you deal with lying? And the other days when there are tears and wailing because "you won't let me play cricket in the house, you never let me do anything!"...yep I get the worst mother award.
However, there are days, mostly happy, glorious days when we have fun and rock it as a family.
This one started out as being a worst mother in the world day, because Pobj was away and we had no milk for breakfast...Hmmmm how to turn my gaff into something fun.
We got dressed for school in record time and toddled off to the supermarket where we bought milk and some special treat cereal ie. Nutrigrain.
We then went to the beach and looked out on the big ships and surf and sand. We had a great breakfast, fresh air and a calm and very awesome morning.
I love making memories.
