Today is cold, so I like to remember those lovely sunny autumn days...weekend days when we can stay in pj's and learn to knit.
(please note that this photo shows a legend slipper that a legend person gave to Miss M. They are just the ticket for a knitting day in the back yard. Thank you Mark W.)
She is about 4cm into a scarf and doing very well. She informs me that she wants to knit a beanie next.....hello Mumma that will be you as I only do squares or rectangles!

Speaking of Famous...
Andrew got his pic in the local rag, he's the one on the ladder sanding the gazebo. We (including Langlan in a backpack) were at a local school from 8-5 last Saturday painting, sanding, cleaning and anything else that needed doing.
Our church chooses a project each year (it generally seems to be a school) and we go in and do whatever they want us to. This school badly needed an injection of love, and it looked amazing after being blitzed on Saturday. It's amazing what a bunch of people can do in one day.

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/8252150/sydney-woman-injured-while-planking
I am driving and after they stopped filming I was waving out the window saying "Hi Mum and Dad!!!"
And it's all lies the wall was 1.5mtrs, she broke her humerous and had no LOC or head injury! I came out to flashing cameras and running camer-men. I felt like Princess Di ;-)

I think it was Kati
Andrew sent me an email with these pictures attached. The car in the pictures was involved in an accident and they were carrying a 25 litre can of paint in the back. The email said that the ambulance driver wouldn't let the female paramedic out of the ambulance. Apparently she was laughing too much and he said it was unprofessional. I'm positive it must have been Kati.

Fringes are in, right?
First, there was Cleopatra (cue dramatic movie score)...Next came Cilla Black...Then, there was Pam Ayres...And now, there is me!I've been making full use of grandparent babysitting duties and went and got my hair cut today. I had it done at the local TAFE (oh Gordon, how I love you). They washed, cut, blowed and styled. It took 1 and a quarter hours. And it cost the princely sum of $15, wahooooo!
Apparently it is what they call a 'deconstructed' cut. Business in front, party out the back. And it's possible that I may be used for the student's final hair cut, the big one that they get marked on! All contingent on getting a babysitter of course!
Oh, and all the comparisons (good and bad) were suggested at dinner tonight. At least I have a good conversation starter now!
