Unfinished Business

For the last few weeks we have had a great big box in our lounge area. In fact it was a handy place to put the homework boxes, unfinished sewing projects and general trash when we needed our dining table free. But now, well it's gone....as has my teeny tiny quadruple the cooking time super duper slow oven.
Now, I get to spoil all and sundry with my fast cooking, smick and swish fabulous oven...all thanks of course to the wonderful man who can do anything and always has time to give for us all. Thanks Dad. Without you my oven would still be a side table wrapped in cardboard in the centre of my loungeroom.
I love my new oven...I love my Dad even more.

Around our house today

Langlan and I have been a little under the weather with a few sniffles so we perked ourselves up today by grabbing an empty basket and going around the house collecting dress up stuff.

We had a lovely time collecting and a lovely time dressing up.

Andrew caught the little Frenchman on his blog although we both missed the fake beard (which was put on, then taken off, then put on, then taken off and so on and so forth until it was decided that clean shaven was the look for the day).

Much fun has been had with pirates, archers, grannies and artists all making an appearance this afternoon. I'm sure our basket of goodies will grow, as will the guest appearances!

PS I'm loving your posts Trin but for some reason I can't comment. Keep them coming, Langlan and I laid on the couch today looking at all the faces, we both loved it!

One Day!

Sunday Morning Bliss

This is one of the lovely things about going to a church close by. Sunday morning frothy drinks on the front verandah.

Visiting

This is not how we spent most of Mumma, Grandpa, Nana Kerrie and Grazzlepop's visit.

Although we did hit up Box Office, At the Heads, Jack Rabbit (pictured) and Urban Bean while they were here there was also washing, playing, mowing, cooking and fixing involved.

Thank you for coming to visit south of the border, we loved having you here and hope you ALL come again SOON!

Snapshots

I can post photos again, yay! Here's a little peek into our last little while.

Snuggling with Dadaw.

Seeing if he really looks more intelligent with glasses.

Pepper, not such a great taste after all, although the sushi went down VERY well.

Bubbacinos at Box Office.

Bringing Mummy her shoes to go cycling. We bought an awesome new seat that the boy LOVES.

Taking said shoes to the garage and banging on the door crying to make sure mummy really gets the message that a cycle is in order.

Finding more awesome art work at Labuan Square.

Building, fixing...destroying.

Learning to love soft toys BIG time.

Camping at Breamlea in gale force winds and absolutely loving it.

Swimming and then snuggling to warm up.

Walking to the river for a paddle.

I realise that this is rather Langlan heavy but seeing he's the most photogenic one in the family he gets to star in most of our shots. I also figure that you guys don't mind!

We've been learning to live with 4 in the house, enjoying visitors, squeezing the most out of summer, eating outdoors as much as possible, exploring the known and the unknown. Life, beautiful, messy life.

Splish Splash He was Takin' a Bath

Langlan is a super kid. He decided to have his bath fully clothed a few nights ago. He figured that it saved me doing his laundry. Thanks little man.

It's Alive!

Today is the last day of school holidays in this house. Yesterday we trained into Melbourne for a meander around and a celebration dinner at the Queen Vic Night Market for the end of holidays/beginning of school.

We took the circle tram to Federation Square and stumbled across Theo Jansen's Strandbeests. I'd seen a video of these amazingly lifelike creatures before so I was totally psyched to see them (almost) in the flesh.

The big one was freed every 2 hours for a short stroll across the square whilst the small one could be pushed and pulled around at anytime. Seriously fantastic.

Whilst we were waiting for the big beast to be unleashed we found ourselves on the big screen, climbed trees and caught sparrows. We LOVE Melbourne.

Green Monster Smoothie

I had this for breakfast this morning.
Being that I needed a BIG iron boost I thought 4 cups of spinach would do the trick.
It was surprisingly good...although I couldn't convince the kids. They don't think vegetables belong in smoothies. They are strictly all fruit smoothie kidlets!

Hair Do's

We are working our way through this Blog

Today we tried this hair do. Connor wouldn't let me do his, but I loved doing Kenzi's.
