lotions and potions



kenzi girl loves to make things out of all the shampoo, soap, moisturiser that is in our bathroom. we also like to experiment with things from our kitchen. we love vinegar and bicarb!

connor played in his grand final last weekend...the team won. now we get a break until next summer. yeh connor.

i know this is a little cheeky, but i saw this fab house yesterday. one that has had many hours of blood sweat tears and a whole lot of love poured into it. i thought i would give you a sneak peak of just 2 of the fab rooms that i saw. take this as a big shout out to the amazing and very talented interior designers, tilers, painters, cementers and all. you made the house go from hohum to homey and fun and beautiful.

We had plums


So I baked this.
INGREDIENTS
250g cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup caster sugar
4 eggs
175g softened unsalted butter
175g brown sugar
200g SR flour
400g plums, seeds removed and sliced.
METHOD
Preheat oven 180.
Line 18cmx28cm lamington tray.
Add cream cheese, vanilla, caster sugar and 1 egg to bowl and beat for 2-3 mins.
Place butter, brown sugar, flour and remaining 3 eggs in clean bowl and beat for 2-3 mins.
Spread half flour mixture in try followed by half cream cheese mixture, swirling gentle to combine. Top with half the plums.
Repeat.
Bake for 45 mins or until golden.
Yum served warm with custard.

Future Planning...all things Easter


I know, I know...this post is kind of like seeing Easter eggs in the store right after Christmas, but I just got a little bit excited this morning while planning for kids church and thought I would share some of the things that clever people do on their Easter mornings. We will be doing some of these things here.

I always find it a struggle to get the right balance at Easter. I want the Cross to be the centre...but egg hunts are so much fun!

We are doing this one. Clues may be changed a bit, but how cool is the end clue with the focus on Jesus. Love it. (see photo at top)
