Birthday Boy

It was my wonderful hubby's birthday yesterday.  Celebrations are big in this house, so we made a day of it.  Breakfast in bed, cake at work, and dinner to boot.

It was a handcrafted birthday as well.  I took page 27 (Andrew turned 27) from a Dutch book I have here for using for craft and made a card.  And Andrew had suggested that his celebration could include 27 somethings.  I thought and thought and came up with 27 vouchers for things like a guy film, a bbq in our local park, bike rides, fishing and other things he enjoys.  I also made him a pair of ninja slippers.  The idea was good, they were made with love, but they don't quite fit!  I'll post a photo some other time.

Dinner was delicious.  Andrew requested 'chicken fajitas with all the trimmings' and that's what he got. We have a birthday plate and cup that we use.  The cup is great, but we may need to rethink the plate as it's pretty but useless!
Dessert was 'warm cookies with ice cream, and they have to be warm'.  No pics of the cranberry and white chocolate cookies, but here's the boy's cake.We went for an evening stroll and then bed.  A great day, although the birthday boy is home sick from work today.  Too much ice cream.

Love the handcrafted gift - they are always best.
