Many, many miles went under our hire car's wheels in the past week. Our first day zipped us from the Netherlands, through Germany and into Denmark. We stopped in Germany (Bad Bentheim I think) for lunch.
We stopped in the beautiful gardens of a castle, crazy when we're used to stopping in the rest stops by the side of a road with a few tables and an eco-friendly toilet.
We then zoomed into Denmark and stopped to camp for the night in...wait for it...Middelfart! Yup, Mum had to say the 'f' word!!
We drove around looking for a camping spot, we found some beautiful places and then stopped for the night at a campsite by the sea with grass on the toilet roof.
Von wasn't so well that night, I think it had something to do with us trying to stuff both her and Kati into the back of a rather smallish car to sleep for the night. 
Oh well, lesson learned, we put up the second tent for her after that episode.
