Pasta Lavista and the Music from the Hills

When we were in England last weekend we spent the only cash we had in the Oxfam secondhand bookshop.  And it was money seriously well spent.  I've just finished reading the true story behind the Sound of Music, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers.  What an amazing and inspiring story about a family who overcame so many obstacles which brought them closer together rather than tearing them apart.  If Andrew and I can create a family that is any way a reflection of the Trapps I will be one happy mama!
The second book we bought was Jamie Oliver's 'The Return of the Naked Chef'.  Dani and I decided that we needed to make fresh pasta to go with one of the recipes.  So we did.  Unfortunately we watched the 'how to make pasta' video after we'd made pasta.  It wasn't the best made pasta in the world, but it tasted pretty good!  We might give it a second whirl this coming week, and see what we come up with this time.
