These days

Like father, like son:

First swim:

Nanna Kerrie's 50th deserves a special hat:

Beautiful, beautiful wedding that we flew back across the world for and only got there a few minutes late, so, so glad we made it: (3 brothers singing the bride down the aisle, a grand kiss, paper airplanes thrown as the bride was carried back down the aisle by hubby, snowcones for all the sweltering guests milling about outside the church, lovely reception venue with lots of little personal touches, what's not to love?) :

Beautiful, beautiful bride (Britt designed her dress, used Rohan's mum's wedding dress lace and silk bought by her uncle from Thailand, and the skirt came off in a dance later in the evening to reveal a shorter skirt as a surprise for Nathan, awesome):

Hottest mother of the bride EVER (and her shoes were AMAZING):

Meeting the cousins:

And Auntie Dinny:

I stuck Mummy (and he was meant to be in bed asleep):

The two Eva's (they should totally start a rockband):

His new propeller hat:

My chopped locks:

I mowing Mumma:

Sinterklaas in January:

Virgin mojitos on the back veranda in the rain with cousin Dani:

Sleeping companions:

Helium balloon...

'My lobster'...

And Liefie.

Life is a little different to how I thought it would be at the moment but it is full to overflowing with beauty, love and fun. I wouldn't switch it for the world.

It's Beginning to Feel a lot like Christmas

Our Christmas has been the most different Christmas I've ever had so I feel that playing our (now) traditional Christmas game a few days after the 25th still counts!

If the Macs ever have a biscuit-off against the Worthers we better start practicing, these guys were good!

Thanks Trinny for starting the fun, and thanks in-laws for being awesome biscuit movers!

We're up and away tomorrow, starting our epic journey back home. Pray for our little boy in his hip spica, he's still very up and down so we're hoping he'll travel ok. Thanks!

Give the girl a sharpie

The beauty of having walls that are in need of a good old paint is that you can give a girl a sharpie and an overhead projector and she can go to town. Pretty fantastic canvas if you ask me...and it can stay for as long as I don't have time to paint.

Ahhh Holidays take 2

In which lots of reading and relaxing is done.

In which we hang over boardwalks and search for miniature crabs.

In which we smile as we hang over boardwalks and look for miniature crabs 'cause we would really like to  'accidentally' fall over and be right among them.

In which we read some more and are joined by our favourite Big Dog.

In which preparations are started for a special double figures birthday coming soon..too soon...way too soon.

Community Garden Competition

The school that Pobj works for had a display in a recent competition.
We helped pick and then we helped display.
They called our display the Chelsea Garden Show display.
We won the People's Choice Award.
We brought home an Olive tree for our efforts.
We are slowly but surely getting to know more people in the area that are outside of our church. I love it.
The presentation was made at a dinner in the Community gardens where we ate all the fresh produce that had been grown and entered in the competition. Totally great and fabulously fun.
