Africa the land of photographic heaven!!

Main slave market for the coast of East Africa and tranported them to Zanzibar. Now it's a hangout and home for street boys and swiming hole for the Arab boys who live in this part of the 'old town'. The history is horrificly amazing!
This is a bad but cool memory pict of dug out canoes, packed with boys, amazing.

Moody sunsets and steamy humidity!

A really cool boat!

Local housing, dirt and sticks and palm rooves that they have to rebuilt completley every 2 years or so!

The posh side, south side beaches and resorts Mmmmm.

Yes that is a guy on the coconut tree on the left after he had climbed and put bottoes on the end of some part up there and liquid drops in to make palm wine which is very not allowed here!
More to come some time in my travels when internet, camera, time and money aline with the stars, so hold your breath or maybe don't!

Oh, I can't believe you're there and seeing those things and doing that stuff and it's not somebody else, it's you, my sister, taking photos and seeing all that stuff that I only ever see in magazines or on tv. Wow.

Hi KTMac. These are so cool. I am totally jealous and blown away by all of this. And inspired. And if you want to link your travels to distant places together, a lot of these slaves sold from that marketplace and sent via Zanzibar ended up in...Oman. If you're a Zanzibari, you are automatically entitled to an Omani residency because Z used to be ruled by the Sultan of Oman. So, you've probably met some of the distant relatives of those slaves on your travels in Oman. Crazy or what?
